Introducing Ximan Xu: A New Musical Artist at All Saints

We’re delighted to introduce Ximan Xu as our new pianist at All Saints, taking over from Johannes and beginning a new musical chapter for All Saints catholic Church.

Originally from China, Ximan is studying piano at the Berlin University of the Arts with Professor Christian Petersen. Her musical journey has taken her from Wuhan to Rostock and now Berlin, with concert appearances and competitions along the way. In 2023, she won first prize at Italy’s Orbetello International Piano Competition and has performed Mozart’s Piano Concerto in A major with the Norddeutsche Philharmonie Rostock.

Her repertoire ranges from Mozart to contemporary music: now we’re pleased that she will be giving our congregation the opportunity to share her talent as she accompanies our choir at every Sunday Mass.

To follow our All-Saints’ Day Mass on 1 November, Ximan has prepared a special performance of selected movements from Bach’s French Suites. What more perfect opportunity to hear her play as we celebrate our church’s feast day.

Welcome, Ximan—it’s a pleasure to have you with us.
