Thank You, Johannes—and Welcome, Ximan!
At the end of August 2026, we marked a special moment at All Saints as Johannes Wrembek retired from his role as Kapellmeister after many years of dedicated musical service to our community.
For his farewell performance, Johannes brought together a full choir of singers he had worked with over the years. It was a fitting and impressive way to celebrate the music, friendships and shared commitment that have become such a defining part of our celebrations .
As a small token of our gratitude, Johannes was presented with gifts, along with our heartfelt thanks for the time, talent and care he has given to All Saints. His contribution has been about much more than playing the piano: his time at the keyboard was itself a mission that helped give our services their voice.
Happily, this is not goodbye. Johannes will remain a member of our congregation and choir working under his successor Ximan Xu who we are also delighted to welcome. A young, very talented pianist originally from China, Ximan Xu is currently studying at the Berlin University of the Arts. We wish her every success and much enjoyment in this new role within our church community.
Johannes, thank you for the delight you have brought us over the years. And Ximan, a very warm welcome to All Saints!
