Facing still restrictions on gatherings and singing in public we thought you might want to have a collection of Advent songs published by OCP (the publisher of our hymnal Glory and Praise). Thankfully, OCP set up a song list on youtube, so everybody is able to listen to and sing along some songs.

Wishing you a peaceful Advent season.

Advent is a special season for the Church — it is the time when the world prepares to celebrate anew the coming of Christ. Often, we lose sight of the point of this season because we get caught up in our preparations for Christmas and arrive at Christmas no more transformed than we were at the start of Advent.
A way that our ESM community is seeking to prepare for Jesus’ birth and experience true transformation in this powerful season is by engaging with a new program from Ascension Press, called Rejoice! Finding Your Place in the Advent Story. We will explore the places, meet the people, and experience the events that shaped the first Advent, and find our place in the story. By immersing ourselves in the environment that God’s people were living in as they prepared for the Messiah, we will experience this sacred season in a new way.

Rejoice! is an opportunity for our whole community to enter into the season of Advent intentionally and open our hearts to the peace and joy of the Advent season as we prepare for the coming of Jesus this Christmas.
This year, as we journey through Advent with Rejoice! Finding Your Place in the Advent Story, we'll learn about the places, people, and events that shaped the story of the very first Advent and shape our own lives today.
Rejoice! will help you open your heart to the peace and joy of the Advent season as you prepare for the coming of Jesus this Christmas. We look forward to journeying with you.
